Nat and Jeremy take a trip deep in the mountains for one last weekend of camping before Jeremy leaves for college. During this trip, Nat reveals a secret to Jeremy that he can’t accept, but before they have a chance to work it out, the two stumble across a man dumping a body and have to flee. In their attempt to escape, they end up pushing themselves deeper into the forest, as the man tracks their every move. All the while, this secret pushes itself between their friendship.

This film is a slow burn, but somehow wedged into the thiller genre. The characters are challenging, contradictory, and born out of the script and the process of making the film. It was meant to be a film that would challenge us, a film that we would want to see, a film that was patient in pace and comfortable being uncomfortable.
The scenes unfold slowly and we see people rather than characters. We see a landscape opening up (or closing in) as the film unfolds.
